When you apply for a Bankwest credit card it will only take about 10 minutes to fill out the application online as long as you have the following details available.
- Any loans you have on a home or car, any store or credit card debts and any other liabilities you may have.
- Savings and investments, assets and any other income details.
- The credit limits you have been assigned on others store or credit cards.
- Both you and your partner’s gross annually income.
If you want to transfer a balance from another card when you apply for a Bankwest credit card there is a spot on the application form that needs to be filled out. You will have to provide the details of your other credit card including the account name, number and how much you want to transfer. You will also need to provide contact details so that confirmation can be sent by Bankwest when the process had been completed.
Bankwest can send you the account Authority and Interest Rate Schedule, Product Disclosure Statement and Identification Check Form in the mail or you can print it out yourself to send to Bankwest. This is required by the government of Australia.
A personal bank account will also need to be linked to your credit card with Bankwest. This bank account must be in the same name as the one that appears on the application form and must be the one that you use to make transactions with.
