Comparing the New Virgin Credit Card Offers
July 27th, 2010
The two new Virgin credit card offers allow card holders to benefit in more ways than one. Take your pick between the Virgin Flyer credit card to reap the flight related rewards or the Virgin No Annual Fee credit card to save money on fees and charges.
Virgin Credit Cards
Virgin Flyer Credit Card
The great new Virgin credit card, named the Virgin Flyer card, offers some excellent incentives and rewards. Card holders can earn 1 Velocity point for each $1 they spent using their card up to the first $1,500 spent. The points earned reduce to 1 point for each $2 spent after this.
Points can be redeemed for a range of excellent rewards, including flights with Virgin Blue and other domestic and international partners to more than 400 destinations around the world.
Card holders who apply for and use their card before October 15th, 2010 will also receive a free one-way airfare to selected destinations. You could be flying for free just for using your credit card.
On top of this, you could be flying with a friend on Virgin Blue airlines with the Virgin Flyer credit card’s 2 for 1 flights offer.
Virgin No Annual Fee Credit Card
The other new Virgin credit card is the Virgin No Annual Fee credit card. If you’re trying to keep your credit card fees and charges to a minimum, this card could be the ideal solution for you.
With the Virgin No Annual Fee credit card, you’ll pay no annual fee on your account – ever! You can save even more money by taking advantage of the low balance transfer offer.
Simply transfer the balances from your high interest credit cards over to your new Virgin No Annual Fee credit card and you’ll pay just 2.9% on your balance amount for the first six months. This can reduce the amount you pay in interest, which can make it much easier to begin repaying your credit card debt quickly.
Once the low balance transfer introductory rate expires, the interest rate will revert to the standard purchase rate of 16.95%, so you’ll benefit by making sure you can repay as much of the balance as possible before this.
Both of the new Virgin credit cards offer excellent security features, including Fraudshield and Visa Zero Fraud Liability protection. Card holders also have the option of adding CreditShield Edge credit protection insurance to protect them against being unable to make their monthly credit card payments for any reason.
