Compare the Best Suncorp Credit Cards
If you are looking for credit card deals you can tailor to your needs, rather than having to search through a dozen credit card deals from the same provider, start comparing the credit cards on offer from Suncorp Bank. You can choose whether you need a balance transfer deal, you can choose whether you pay interest or whether you use the interest free days and you can even choose whether to add a rewards program to your gold credit card at Suncorp.
Types of Suncorp Credit Card Deals
To help you determine which Suncorp credit card is best for you, and which features you want included in your credit card deal, you first need to clarify which type of card you need:
- A balance transfer credit card deal. If you already have a credit card then there is likely to be an outstanding balance on it and if there is, you need a balance transfer credit card. A balance transfer card will charge you a much lower interest rate than your standard card, making it easier to pay down your debt. When you choose a Suncorp balance transfer card you can choose from a transfer deal for 9 months, 12 months or for life, where the low interest rate offered on your balance is fixed until it is paid off.
- A low rate credit card. To help you avoid getting into a situation with an unmanageable balance again, consider whether you could benefit from a credit card deal with an ongoing low interest rate. The Suncorp low interest rate credit card is typical of low rate card deals with an interest rate of 11.74% and not even in its teens. With such a low rate there is less of your monthly payment going towards interest charges and more of it going towards your balance.
- Rewards credit card. If you are able to concentrate your spending to your credit card and pay off your balance before it attracts interest the rewards of a Suncorp rewards credit card could mean your purchases are working harder for you. You don’t have to choose a Suncorp gold card to enjoy a rewards program either, in case you don’t qualify, or don’t want the higher fees.
- Gold and platinum credit card deals. First you will need to make sure you qualify for a gold or platinum credit card as a minimum income of at least $50,000 per year is usually required. Also make sure that you are going to have a use or the extra rewards such as travel insurance or extended purchase protection because if you don’t use your card very much, or travel very often you may not see the value in a gold card. At Suncorp, if you don’t see the value of the rewards which typically come with a gold card, you don’t have to pay for them.
Benefits of Suncorp Credit Cards
The choice of credit card you are going to add to your wallet comes down to whether or not it will benefit you to own the card, or whether you could live without it. Consider whether the benefits of the Suncorp credit cards could benefit you:
- You can choose to add a rewards program. The Suncorp gold credit card offers a Frequent Flyer rewards program, which you don’t have to have if you don’t want it. Qantas rewards points can be redeemed for flights as well as products, services and gift vouchers, but if you don’t want to be encouraged to spend on your card, or if you don’t use your card very much and wouldn’t earn meaningful rewards, you can save $15 a year in your annual fee and $82 a year in membership to the Frequent Flyer program.
- You don’t have to count the days of an interest free period. The low interest rate credit card from Suncorp does not have any interest free days, so you can pay your purchases off as quickly as possible and you don’t have to track the dates of each purchase and when it needs to be paid. You also don’t become complacent during your interest free period and spend more than you can afford to pay off.
