The new Virgin credit card offers have been launched and they offer customers some great savings, as well as great incentives. With two new cards to choose from, it should be easy to find the right one to suit your financial needs.

The two new Virgin credit card offers allow card holders to benefit in more ways than one. Take your pick between the Virgin Flyer credit card to reap the flight related rewards or the Virgin No Annual Fee credit card to save money on fees and charges.

Virgin Credit Cards

<?php tableHead(); ?>
<?php generateRow('148', 'No annual fee credit card with a reasonable standard purchase rate and a good balance transfer offer of ' . displayBalanceTransfer('148')); ?>
<?php generateRow('149','Frequent Flyer card from Virgin, comes with exclusive offers such as 2-for-1 flights on selected Virgin Blue airfares'); ?>
<?php tableFoot(); ?>

Virgin Flyer Credit Card

The great new Virgin credit card, named the Virgin Flyer card, offers some excellent incentives and rewards. Card holders can earn 1 Velocity point for each $1 they spent using their card up to the first $1,500 spent. The points earned reduce to 1 point for each $2 spent after this.

Points can be redeemed for a range of excellent rewards, including flights with Virgin Blue and other domestic and international partners to more than 400 destinations around the world.

On top of this, you could be flying with a friend on Virgin Blue airlines with the Virgin Flyer credit card’s 2 for 1 flights offer.

Virgin No Annual Fee Credit Card

The other new Virgin credit card is the Virgin No Annual Fee credit card. If you’re trying to keep your credit card fees and charges to a minimum, this card could be the ideal solution for you.

With the Virgin No Annual Fee credit card, you’ll pay no annual fee on your account – ever! You can save even more money by taking advantage of the low balance transfer offer.

Simply transfer the balances from your high interest credit cards over to your new Virgin No Annual Fee credit card and you’ll pay just 2.9% on your balance amount for the first six months. This can reduce the amount you pay in interest, which can make it much easier to begin repaying your credit card debt quickly.

Once the low balance transfer introductory rate expires, the interest rate will revert to the standard purchase rate of 16.95%, so you’ll benefit by making sure you can repay as much of the balance as possible before this.

Both of the new Virgin credit cards offer excellent security features, including Fraudshield and Visa Zero Fraud Liability protection. Card holders also have the option of adding CreditShield Edge credit protection insurance to protect them against being unable to make their monthly credit card payments for any reason.

Learn why the Australian financial market is in an uproar right now because of the new Virgin Money products launched today. You will be glad you keep on reading...

Sir Richard Branson of Virgin fame recently announced that his Virgin Money was launching a new series of banking products to finally allow Australians the chance to choose the right products for their needs. Branson said he was attempting to shift power away from the consolidated power of the four major banks that control Australia’s financial infrastructure.

By giving Australians the right to choose competitive products, Branson says they stand to save $10 billion over the next 10 years. Two of these products include the Virgin No Annual Fee credit card and the Virgin Flyer credit card, both of which offer low rates and high tech protection. The saying goes you can go places with one card and you don’t have to pay an annual fee for the other.

The New Virgin Credit Cards With No Annual Fee

This Virgin No Annual Fee credit card is the new Virgin credit card that offers to save Australians a lot of money. There is never an annual fee, obviously, but there’s also a low balance transfer rate of <?php echo displayBalanceTransfer('148');?> and there’s also a great purchase rate of <?php displayRate('148');?> p.a. Not only that, but customers get to enjoy up to 44 days interest free on all purchases.

The New Virgin Credit Card for Virgin Flyers

The New Virgin Flyer credit card is the new Virgin credit card that has flyers in mind. The card comes with many flight discounts. These include, a buy one get one free deal on Virgin Blue seats, and the chance to earn Velocity Points, which is Virgin’s reward system that allows customers to save on any of Virgin’s 400 flight destinations. The new virgin credit card for flyers comes with the low annual fee of only <?php echo displayAnnual('149');?>.

High Tech Security

Both of these new Virgin credit cards come with state of the art chip technology. That means data protection and identify theft prevention are top priority. Not only that, but the new Virgin credit cards offer Fraudshield and Visa’s Zero Liability policy, which basically states that customers aren’t liable for lost or stolen cards, or for purchases that they didn’t make.

Both cards can be applied for through the Virgin Money website or over the phone, and the process is extremely easy. Once approved, you could be using your card in as little as ten working days, enjoying all the money saving benefits these cards are finally bringing to Australia.

Virgin Money has released 2 new credit cards, one no annual fee credit card and a frequent flyer rewards credit card linked to their Virgin Velocity rewards program. It has also hit the ground running with a High Interest Savings Account

Sydney, 27 July 2010: Australia’s latest competitive suite of financial products has been launched this morning by Virgin Money in conjunction with Citibank Australia. Richard Branson’s re-entry into the Australian finance world has been eagerly anticipated and discussed in the last year, ever since it was made public that Virgin Money is planning to re-launch their product in the country.

When asked about the launch, Branson told reporters: “Virgin Money is here to make all Australians better off. Today we’re launching the first in a range of new products starting with two credit cards and an online savings account – all of which are best in class.” Branson further added that “there was no better time to introduce a competitive range of products to the Australian market than now.”

Virgin Money’s intention is to compete with the “Big Four” banks to give Australian consumers more cost-effective choices. To date the Big Four have really dominated the market and Branson and his partners are looking to change the landscape with this (and future) launch (es).

According to a survey done by Access Economics, Australian households could save up to $40,000 in the span of ten years by choosing more competitive products.

Sir Richard Branson stated: “Australia steered itself superbly through the Global Financial Crisis, but unfortunately this came at a price: the elimination of genuine choice. The finance sector in Australia has become highly consolidated and is now dominated by the Big Four, which results in the average Aussie getting less choice. Virgin Money is out to make a fair profit – not the most we can get away with. We’re here to shake up financial services in Australia as we’ve done in air travel.”

Included in the new product launch are 3 Virgin Money and Citibank branded products. The Virgin Flyer Credit Card, the No Annual Fee Card and the Virgin Saver – a high interest online saving account.

Each of the above products feature competitive rates and features, ideally placed for the consumer looking to save money.

According to Matt Baxby, Managing Director for Virgin Money Australia, we “Australians embrace Virgin brand as a trusted source for quaity, value and superior customer service.”

Citibank’s CEO, Roy Gori said, “It’s been along time coming, but Australian consumers will now benefit from some much-needed innovation and creativity in the personal finance space. Virgin Money, in alliance with Citibank will deliver financial products with exciting benefits and ultimately, great value.”

The new Virgin credit card is here – the Virgin no annual fee credit card. And it’s exactly what you’d expect from a company like Virgin. This credit card offers customers a great deal in terms of low fees and great interest rates.

Fees and Rates

The Virgin no annual fee credit card, as it’s name might suggest, has no annual fee. Yes, you read that correctly – it’s $0 per year for this innovative
Virgin credit card.

However, if you’ve looked at other no annual fee credit cards, you’ll have noticed that what they lack in terms of an annual fee, they make up for with rates and charges. In other words, just because a card has a $0 annual fee doesn’t mean it’s cheap – most often, it comes with eye-watering high interest rates.

This Virgin credit card does nothing of that sort. In addition to having no annual fee, the card offers an incredibly low 16.95% p.a. interest rate. And if that wasn’t enough, the card also offers 2.9% p.a. on balance transfers for 6 months – so you can transfer your existing balances to this card and enjoy some savings.

Just because the card has low rates and fees doesn’t mean it lacks in style! The card is available in six different colours, and you can choose the hue that best suits your tastes.

Fraud protection

Cardholders have access to great fraud protection, so you can shop with peace of mind. This credit card offers Fraudshield and Zero Liability guarantees. The protection is in place regardless of whether you shop online, over the phone or over the counter.

Holders of this card can also opt for CreditShield Edge which is a form of credit protection insurance.

About Virgin Money

Since this card is offered by Virgin Money, we thought you might be curious to know a bit more about them. Virgin Money is the financial services wing of the Virgin Group. Virgin Money was established in Australia in 2003 and aims to offer consumers great value and to promote fair practices and competition in the Australian financial sector.

Other products by Virgin Money include:

Superannuation

Car insurance

Savings accounts

The Virgin no annual fee credit card is a great option for people who are looking for a low cost credit card. The fact that it has no annual fee means that you do not have to pay for owning the card, while the low interest rates and fees mean that you don’t incur heavy costs for using the card.

An offer like this isn’t likely to last very long!

Thinking of taking a holiday? Well don’t do so without a Virgin Flyer Credit Card. This innovative frequent flyer credit card by Virgin has just been launched, so if you love to travel and think you might be able to enjoy a free flight or two, read on.

The Basics

The Virgin credit card in question is a frequent flyer card that will suit people who love to travel. The card is linked with the Velocity program, that is, Virgin’s Velocity loyalty program. Cardholders can use the card to earn Velocity points which they can then redeem for flights and other goodies. Using the card will also allow holders to enjoy extra perks like free flights and concierge services.

Is it for You?

Before reading on, answer this question – do you love the thrill of travel or the comforts of the hearth? If your answer was the former, and you spend your free time planning your next holiday, this Virgin credit card is the one for you. However, if you prefer to spend your holidays at home playing with your cat and snuggling by the fire, you may not get the most out of all these travel perks.

Velocity Points

Holders of the Virgin Flyer credit card earn Velocity points every time they spend using their card. The first $1500 spent each month accrues points at the rate of one point per dollar spent, while any spending thereafter earns points at the rate of one point for every two dollars spent.

Velocity points can be redeemed for flights on Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue, V Australia or any of the Virgin international partners who fly to over 400 destinations worldwide.

There are no blackout periods – you can redeem your points anytime you want, for any flight, to any destination. Just keep in mind that certain times are more popular for travellers than others, so book ahead to ensure you get your desired seat.

Buy One Get One Free

You can get a free flight for a friend when you use your card to travel on Virgin Blue. This offer is available on Blue Saver, Flexible and Premium Economy fares, and cardholders can enjoy up to 4 free flights per year (one way).

Number Crunching

When it comes to the fees and rates, here’s what you need to know:

Annual fee of <?php echo displayAnnual('149'); ?>

Additional cards at $39 each

Interest rate of <?php displayRate('149'); ?> p.a.

Balance transfer offer of <?php echo displayBalanceTransfer('149'); ?>

44 interest free days

As you can see, this is a great deal and if you love to travel, you don’t want to miss out.
